The Sound Beach Volunteer Fire Department is committed to providing the highest level of emergency response services and to keeping pace with the changing needs of our community. Success in meeting our Annual Giving program goals is vital every year. The Annual Giving program not only provides a major source of funding for equipment and training, it also gives us invaluable flexibility in spending where the need is greatest or when special opportunities arise. For example, the Department has recently begun training and purchasing equipment to be better prepared to respond to flooding emergencies such as those experienced in last year’s April Nor’easter. Because the money can be immediately put to use, we are able to maintain our margin of excellence.
